Docfield is an Amsterdam-based contract and document management platform. It helps organizations manage proposals, contracts, policy documents, and HR records. It does this by offering an innovative solution for document workflow, from drafting to signing.
Tilted helped Docfield improve their Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline and codebase, as well as implement new features.
Docfield had a great CI setup, but tests were slow. A slow CI slows down development, making it harder and more costly to detect problems in code changes. This impacts delivery of new features to customers. Tilted was able to drastically improve the speed of Docfield’s testsuite by getting rid of obsolete code and tests.
For local development testsuite performance is just as important. Tilted improved running the testsuite locally by parallelizing the testsuite. Running a test suite in eight parallel processes improves the performance almost by the same factor.
Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data. SAML is commonly used for single sign-on (SSO) for authentication into web applications.
Many of Docfields’ customers use SAML to log in. As we had prior experience implementing SAML, we were able to improve the login process and make it more robust and easier to connect new customers.
